Annie DukeRecently Annie Duke left UB.Com where she was a Sponsored Pro and a Card Room Consultant. Duke has had an excellent Poker career so far boasting over $4,000,000.00 in Tournament Winnings. She has not been shy about getting involved in many different types of ventures, like her appearance on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. Now you can call her Commissioner Duke because she has become the Commissioner of the new Poker League that is being called the Federated Sports and Gaming League, or FS&G.

The four FS&G Events are being referred to as a “Tour” but all of the four tournament events are at the same location, the Palms Hotel & Casino. Each of the four events will consist of three tournaments. The first will be a Pro-Am, the second will be a Charity event, and the third will be the Main Event. They have announced that there will be a $1,000,000.00 Free Roll Championship event that will feature the top 27 players according to the League standings. It was also announced that all of the four Events, in this debut season, will be played in different formats of No Limit Hold Em, six handed, heads up, and a “special multi format tournament”, which kind of sounds like a mixed game.

The League was formed to be exclusively for Poker Professionals but it appears that with there being a Pro-Am tournament, at the beginning of each Event, that it is beginning to be opened up a bit. It does seem like everything is still a bit of a work in progress but here is the schedule that was released for the first season:

Event 1 – August 12th – 19th, 2011

Event 2 – September 30th – October 7th, 2011

Event 3 – December 1st – December 10th, 2011

Event 4 – January 20th – 27th, 2012

Championship Event – January 29th – 30th, 2012
