Well, well, we all knew it was coming, what was it going to be? I am referring of course to the Poker Brats entrance to this years event.

I won’t keep you in suspense any longer; it was a Rocky take off complete with gloves and hooded robe sporting the UB logo. The understated Phil Helmuth entrance into the WSOPHellmuth in recent years, has turned up to the Main Event dressed as an World War 2 general, Julius Caesar and a Nascar driver to name a few.

Not all are impressed with Hellmuths, Doyle Brunson stated “I’m glad I am not playing today so I won’t see Hellmuth make a fool of himself.”

I don’t mind it so much, for after all Hellmuth like him, or not is still the one of the most successful WSOP players with 11 WSOP bracelets. Top players in any profession have an edge to them and it is what makes the game appeal to the wider audience. People want to see Hellmuth beat, that can only add interest to any tournament Phil Hellmuth Jr. (as he likes to be known) is playing in and that means more coverage/money for the promoters.
