Rising poker protégé Victor Blom (aka online giant Isildur1) may have his recent successes cut short by a call from the Swedish tax authorities. The 20-year-old is most well know for making (and losing) and winning his fortune again on popular online poker hotspot Full-Tilt Poker.com. Participating recently in the PokerStar’s Caribbean Adventure, his star grew even further when he was signed to the PokerStars pro team. But it seems Blom’s fortunes wax and wane in startling succession.

Sources say the number owed in question is around $149, 000, 000. This is because Full-Tilt is not an EU site, and therefore by Swedish laws every bet made online is subject to tax, whether the player wins or loses.

However, whether Swedish authorities are going to throw the book at their young poker star are yet unconfirmed at this point.
