WSOP 2010 fever hits the Sunday Poker Majors. The World Series of Poker has kicked into some serious action, and with most professional players in Las Vegas, the virtual felt reported a downturn in business for the final tournaments in May.
Most of Sunday's Majors struggled to achieve their guarantees. The PokerStars Sunday Million drew a field of 7,214, with a prize pool of $1.5 million for the $200 + $15 buy-in event. At the final table, the eventual winner was Dan 'danloulou' Smyth, who took down the first prize of $215,555 after a heads-up deal with airic1400 pocketing $175,000 for his troubles.
Staying with PokerStars, the Sunday Warm-Up drew a field of 4,029, with a prize pool of $805,000 for the $200 + $15 buy-in event. The winner was Boruzze, who after a heads-up deal pocketed $110,000, from Ryan 'ryanghall' Hall, who also walked away with $110,790.64. The Sunday 500 event saw 845 players battle it out, with AltyAA victorious over Jamie 'pokerjammers' Armstrong earning $90,000 and £65,000 respectively.
Over at Full Tilt, the $750,000 Guarantee drew a field of 3,030 for the $200 + $16 event. Played to the finish, the triumphant winner mrfsy scooped $132.787.50 and runner-up Justin 'Arsonist88' Shelton took home $80.250. In the Sunday Brawl buy-in $240 + $16, 2,304 players battled it out with the winner Sirocko taking the $93,980.16 prize from Bryan 'bparis' Paris, who netted $60,825.60. And finally the Sunday Mulligan pulled in 1,048 players, generating a prize pool of $209,600. The eventual winner AsMetzmagnyAs waltzed off with $47,160, leaving TK420 US to pick up $29,868.
