Celeb Poker was established in 2004 and is one of the newer additions to the iPoker Network. The former Boss Media Network skin is smaller than many of the other iPoker sites, but is growing at an impressive rate. As the name indicates, you will be able to play poker against a number of celebrities, including Lou Diamond Phillips, Joaquim Denies Almedia, Gareth Hunt, Normal Pace, and Paul Ince. Granted, they are not the biggest names in Hollywood, but they are celebrities nonetheless. The largest downside to Celeb Poker is the fact that American players are not allowed to play at the site.

There are five games offered at Celeb Poker:

• Texasholdem
• Omaha
• Omahahi lo
• 7 card stud
• 5 card stud 

Stakes here range from as little as $0.01/$0.02 to as high as $300/$600. The traffic throughout all stakes is pretty strong, although there is a definite decline once you get into the higher limit stakes.

The majority of European players at Celeb Poker are rather soft. The move to the iPoker Network has only increased the number of bad players, creating a very weak player pool. Although they may be slightly better than their micro stakes counterparts, even the high stakes players are more than beatable. 

Thanks again to the iPoker Network, the software at Celeb Poker is vastly improved from its Boss Media days. Since adopting the Playtech software, the Celeb Poker interface is clean and easy to use. It is fast, reliable, and is constantly being updated, so any problems that you find will not last very long.

Sadly for Mac users, Celeb Poker is only compatible with the Windows operating system. There is no web browser "instant play" either, so if you have a Mac or Linux operating system you will need to install Windows emulation software. Of course, it is likely that this will change in the future as the site grows.

Celeb Poker Promotions

The biggest way that Celeb Poker rewards their players is through the VIP Club. The VIP Club is a rewards program based on VIP Club points, which players can earn by playing in real money tournaments and cash games. Approximately 5 points will earned for every $1 you pay in rake at cash games, while you will receive 15 points for every $1 you pay in tournament fees. 

As is the case with most programs, the number of points you earn each month will determine your VIP status. This status, in turn, will determine the benefits you are eligible for. Receiving a higher status will also result in a points "boost," which means that you will earn more points for the same amount of play.  

Your points can be used for more than just that however. They can also be used to purchase cash bonuses and tournament tickets. Bonuses are available from $20 to $7,000, and tournament tickets between $6 and $215. 

Celeb Poker also takes part in the iPoker Network sit & go jackpots, which gives players the opportunity to win tons of money in just a short period of time. In order to qualify for the jackpots, you must win a certain amount of special jackpot sit & go tournaments in a row. The size of the jackpots will vary depending on the size of the buy in, but they will all net you thousands of dollars. 

Celeb Poker Bonuses

The first time deposit bonus is one of the biggest attractions to an online poker room, and with good reason.
